Extraordinary meeting of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople following the Bulgarian Church’s decision

June 6, the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople will hold an emergency meeting of the Holy Synod in connection with the refusal of the Bulgarian Patriarchate to participate in the forthcoming Pan-Orthodox Council, to be held on June 16-21 in Crete, reports Romfea.

Urgently convened on Monday, according to reports, the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Throne will also consider the settings of the Churches of Antioch and Russia shortly before the Pan-Orthodox Council.

Earlier, the Bulgarian Orthodox Church has confirmed its refusal to participate in the Pan-Orthodox Council.
