Borispol believers defend All-Ukrainian Cross Procession through the town

July 19, the faithful of the town of Borispol and other towns and villages of the Borispol district handed to Mayor Anatoly Fedorchuk an appeal with a request to allow the passage of the All-Ukrainian Cross Procession through the district center. The 150-page petition has already been signed up 3749 people. Collection of signatures continues, said the Dean of the First Borispol Deanery, Archpriest Georgy Nosach to a UOJ correspondent.

"In just two days we have been able to collect a great number of signatures of concerned believers, – says Fr. Georgy Nosach. – Of those signed, 1 200 people are Borispol residents. The rest are Orthodox Christians from the district. Moreover, the collection of signatures is still ongoing. "

The collection of signatures is the reaction to the fact that some members of the City Council have prepared and posted on the official website a petition № 000004 with a request to "deny the Cross Procession of the UOC MP through Borispol". At the moment, their petition has gained 150 votes.

The UOJ is monitoring the developments.
