Avakov’s advisor wants to sic the SSU and "Peacemaker" on UOJ
"I think the SSU and the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine should look into the activities of the Ukrainian public organization "Union of Orthodox journalists", writes on his FB page Anton Gerashchenko, a member of the Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and a deputy from "Narodny Front" (People’s Front).
"For those who want to understand the issue, how, why what for the UOC decided all of the sudden to hold such a huge event, I recommend to study the history of the suddenly emerged last autumn public organization "The Union of Orthodox Journalists", which since March this year in the words of its most active member Vyacheslav Pikhovshek has begun to declare that "the probability of a religious war in Ukraine is very high," he said.
"I think it makes sense for the specialists from the SSU and Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine to watch over the work of this public organization. The project "Mirotvorets" ("Peacemaker") has put this organization into a plan for a close examination of its role in attempting to foment sectarian strife in Ukraine," said the politician.
Recall that the UOJ has consistently emphasized the peaceful nature of the All-Ukrainian Cross Procession, drawn attention to the need for security and the attempts of radicals to organize provocations during the Procession. While the authorities — including the Interior Ministry — have regularly distributed invalid information about provocations from the inside of the Cross Procession.
