Primate of UOC officiates at the church of the children's health centre
On August 9, the day of commemoration of the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon, Metropolitan Onufriy of Kiev and All Ukraine celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the St. Panteleimon Church at the children's health center, as reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.
After reading the Holy Gospel, the Primate addressed the clergy, teachers and children with a homily. During the service, augmented prayer for peace in Ukraine was lifted.
Metropolitan Onufriy congratulated all those present on the parish feast and sprinkled them with holy water. Also His Beatitude bestowed brethren of the Banchensky monastery with church awards.
The church on the territory of the health centre at the Molnitsa children’s home was built three years ago. The brethren of the Holy Ascension Banchensky Monastery take care of the inmates of the children’s home.
Recall the Center is located near the village of Neporotovo, Sokiriany district, Chernivtsi region, Bukovina, on the banks of the Dniester River. This is a recreation place for the children of the boarding school, which is under care of the brethren of the Holy Ascension Banchensky Monastery.
