14 August on Anna's Mount His Beatitude Onuphry will bless the faithful
According to a UOJ source, on the feast day of the Holy Martyrs of the Maccabees, August 14, the Primate of the UOC his Beatitude Onuphry and many bishops of the Church will serve a Divine Liturgy at St. Anna’s Church of the St. Anna convent, which is located in village of Vashkovtsy, Chernivtsi region.
His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and all Ukraine will celebrate the late Liturgy that will begin at 10 am.
On this day, usually at 5am begins the ascent of believers to Anna’s Mount where the convent is located. The climbing takes place usually on knees. According to the legend, it helps to restore peace in the family, cures infertility and other ailments.
In the convent, in the lower Church of the Martyrs of the Maccabees, there is the miraculous icon of the Lord Almighty. According to the legend, it cures cancer, asthma and other diseases.
