UGCC church burgled in Stryi, Lviv region
As reported by the press service of the National Police in Lviv region, in the town of Stryi on the night of August 20, the Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary (UKGTS) was burgled. The thieves stole two boxes for donations. The identity of the criminals and the stolen amount are currently being established.
According to preliminary data, the thief entered the church through a broken window. A judicial investigation into the incident has been opened under Art. 185(3) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft is punishable by a term of 3 to 6 years of imprisonment).
