Andrei Malakhov at his own expense built a church in Murmansk region
The well-known TV-host Andrei Malakhov built at his own expense a church in the Murmansk region, where he was born, reports Pravmir.
In addition, as reported by the church architect Andrei Anisimov, the TV host helps in the design and construction of the Savior Transfiguration (Spaso-Preobrazhensky) Cathedral of the sea in Murmansk.
The construction site of the Cathedral was visited by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on the Day of Transfiguration. He inspected the Church of Savior-on-Waters (the Church of the Miraculous Icon of the Savior), built in the early 2000s as a small temple of the future cathedral complex.
Then the Primate of the Church performed the rite of consecration of laying the foundation stone of the cathedral.
