Catholic bishops from Italy venerated sanctities of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra
The Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra was visited by an official Italian delegation of Catholic bishops from various cities of Sicily. It is reported by the Lavra’s site.
After the veneration of the biggest Lavra’s sanctity – precious head of Saint Martyr Clement worshiped both in the Western and Eastern Church since IX century – a group, led by Deputy Chair of the UOC Department for External Church Relations Archpriest Nikolay Danilevich, went to the Near Caves.
Besides, the bishops are going to see other Orthodox sanctities of the capital of Ukraine, including the church of St. Sophia, where, like in Sicily, ancient Byzantine mosaics were kept.
