Synaxis of the Venerable Fathers of the Kiev Far Caves celebrated at Kiev-Pechersk Lavra

10 September, the Synaxis of the Venerable Fathers of the Kiev Far Caves, Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

During the service, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church addressed the numerous parishioners and pilgrims of the monastery with a homily.

During the Liturgy augmented prayer for peace in Ukraine was offered. After it the clergy and the faithful, led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, went in a cross procession to the Far Caves, where a moleben was held in the open.
At the end of the moleben, the Primate congratulated those present on the occasion and blessed everyone.
