The UOC is committed to a dialogue with the state, – a spokesperson of the Church

Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, deputy chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, at the OSCE noted that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church favors cooperation with the state in the protection of the rights of believers in Ukraine.

"Our government, unfortunately, does not always recognize the violation of the rights of the faithful, so we have to turn to international organizations, including the OSCE, – said Nikolai Danilevich. – Our goal is to solve problems, not to create them. Therefore, it’s regrettable to watch some forces in Ukraine, which the government itself does not control, but whose actions form a negative image of our country in the international arena. We, on the contrary, do not want this negativity. Therefore, we seek cooperation with the government in this matter."

The deputy chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC also noted that international publicity helps to reduce discrimination against believers.
