The UOC is committed to a dialogue with the state, – a spokesperson of the Church
"Our government, unfortunately, does not always recognize the violation of the rights of the faithful, so we have to turn to international organizations, including the OSCE, – said Nikolai Danilevich. – Our goal is to solve problems, not to create them. Therefore, it’s regrettable to watch some forces in Ukraine, which the government itself does not control, but whose actions form a negative image of our country in the international arena. We, on the contrary, do not want this negativity. Therefore, we seek cooperation with the government in this matter."
The deputy chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC also noted that international publicity helps to reduce discrimination against believers.
