UOC explains why Parliament didn’t consider antichurch bill

On October 6, the Verkhovna Rada did not put bill № 4128 is not put to a vote, because it does not gain the required number of votes. This was reported on his Facebook page the deputy head of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, archpriest Nikolai Danilevich.

Nikolai Danilevich gives two explanations for this: the first – "technically did not have time to consider," and the second – "in fact, there is information that they did not gain the necessary number of votes," he writes.

"This is good news! – said the deputy head of the DECR. – It proves that it is not so necessary, as our opponents want. It is believed that they are waiting for the moment when it will be possible to push through the bill, because they fear that the controversial bill "could fail" – so many attempts and all in vain," said the cleric.

According to Danilevich, consideration of the bill may be moved to October 7. "We ask for prayers! To talk some sense into the deputies, to keep religious peace in the country! " – called Nikolai Danilevich.
