Ivano-Frankivsk eparchy of the UOC intends to defend its church

The Legal Department of Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is preparing a cassation appeal and claims to international legal organizations. According to a UOC source, the religious community of Ivano-Frankivsk considers the termination of the lease agreement with the local authorities illegal.

The Lviv Economic Court of Appeal granted the request of the city government on breaking a lease agreement with the religious community of the UOC: the latter is deprived of the Transfiguration Church and the Chancellery building.

Believers have already won several cases related to their church, so the current decision of the Lviv Court does not discourage them to pursue their rights.

Parishioners of the Transfiguration Church ask prayers for their church.
