Dubna-based conference to address religious and scientific organization of the society-to-be

On 5-6 December Dubna Science City in Moscow region holds XIX annual conference “Science. Philosophy. Religion”. It is reported by Pravoslaviye.Ru.

The conference opens its doors to representatives of science, philosophy, theology and other humanitarian disciplines to address current challenges of contemporary world and ways to resolve them.

The modern society runs a discussion on the development models and hypothetical image of the future. A significant place in the discussion of life-organization models is given to the correlation of scientific and religious origins.

Science and religion are key factors to determine the life of the society: science provides incentives for technical and social progress, while religion contributes to the preservation of cultural identity. Their positive interaction carries enormous potential to the harmonious development in accordance with one’s own traditions.

The conference will be dedicated to the evaluation of the role of cooperation between the religious and scientific planes for the development of contemporary society.

It is organized by the Foundation of St. Andrew the First-called and Amalgamated Institute of Nuclear Studies.

The conference will be attended by the leading specialists in various areas of science and culture.
