UOC eparchy in Odessa has donated 1 million UAH to the needy over 1 year (VIDEO)

The Coordination Humanitarian Aid Center of Odessa eparchy has held another charitable action. It is reported by the diocesan site.

On this day the Center employees handed in 60 food sets and provided material aid in the amount of over 21 thousand hryvnas to disadvantaged residents and internally displaced persons of Odessa.

Additionally, the staff of the charitable department visited a psycho-neurological boarding facility in Baraboy village, Odessa region. The sick and medical personnel received food sets and articles of daily necessity. Volunteers congratulated everybody on the forthcoming holiday of Saint Nicholas and handed in sweet gifts.

Reportedly, over the period of December 2015 to December 2016 the Coordination Center has managed to collect and donate as a material and humanitarian aid nearly 1 050 000 UAH. Over 4650 families of displaced persons from eastern regions and the destitute who are based in Odessa were supplied with food sets, while 706 persons received the material aid worth 829 248 UAH.

Over a year time all refugees and the needy had a possibility to receive clothes, footwear and essentials on a regular basis. There have been collected, raised, sorted and distributed over 20 tons of various items. On top of that, people were allowed to choose things to their own discretion.
