Gorlovska and Berdyansk Dioceses of UOC aids refugees from Avdeevka

Refugees from Avdeevka, living in a temporary camp on the territory of the Holy Dormition Svyatogorsk Lavra, visited the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral of Gorlovka. The guests attended the Divine service and took to the Holy Sacraments. The organizer of the trip, rector of the cathedral Archpriest Alexander Fomenko, regularly visits the refugees and hands over the aid collected by the community of the cathedral, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

A few days earlier, with the blessing of the Bishop Ephraim of Berdyansk and Primorsk, the head of the Department for the socio-humanitarian issues of the Berdyansk diocese Archpriest Edward Kislyi transferred the humanitarian aid to the volunteers who further delivered it to Avdeevka. The aid was collected by the parishioners and clerics of churches of the Berdyansk diocese.

In other dioceses, the collection of humanitarian aid to the ATO zone in Eastern Ukraine is ongoing.
