Ukraine needs internal peacemaking, – Metropolitan Luka of Zaporozhie

One of the aspects of the peacekeeping ministry of our Church is the internal peacekeeping aimed at creating peace and harmony in the modern Ukrainian society, said Metropolitan Lika of Zaporozhie and Melitopol Luka after the consecration of Dr. Bubnovsky Medical Centre of Zaporozhie, writes the press-service of the Zaporozhie diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

"If we want to achieve reconciliation and harmony in our country, we need to start with the search for peace within ourselves, with the arrangement of our own inner life. Only moving from the individual to the family, from the family to the workplace, from the labor and professional communities to the urban, regional, republican communities, involving the entire society in this process, we can achieve concrete results," Vladyka said.

"The rehabilitation programme approved today by the leadership of the Medical Centre is not only an opportunity for participants and invalids of the ATO to get professional medical help and undergo the necessary treatment, but also an example of inner spiritual peacemaking, which we all need badly," said Metropolitan Luka.
