Primate of UOC greets believers on Feast of the Resurrection of Christ (VIDEO)
"Christ is risen!
All of you, dear brothers and sisters, I heartily congratulate on our most important Christian feast - on the day of the Bright Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The Holy Church calls the Resurrection of Christ the "Feast of feasts, the Triumph of triumphs". The Resurrection of Christ is the Feast of life. Because through His Resurrection the Lord gave us eternal salvation and eternal life.
What a miracle! The light of life shone from the life-giving Tomb of the Lord. The tomb has always been a tool of death for humanity, and in Christ the tomb has become a source of life for us.
In these days, we turn our thoughts and feelings to the Holy City of Jerusalem, to the life-giving Tomb of the Lord. We remember the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Holy Wives-Myrrh-Bearers, the Holy Apostles, who witnessed the mystery of the Resurrection of Christ. And later they spread this message around the world. We especially thank the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called, who brought to us a sermon about Christ the Risen One. He came with a sermon to the ancient Rus land and sowed the seed of Christianity here.
Today we pray for our Ukrainian land, for our Ukrainian people and ask that the Risen Christ grant us peace, that the Lord bless us all," said the Primate.
