On April 22, on the Holy Week Saturday evening, on the eve of Antipascha, His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine, Onufriy celebrated a vigil at the Holy Spirit Cathedral of Chernivtsi, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

After reading the Holy Gospel, His Beatitude granted awards to the clergy of the Chernivtsi diocese, congratulated the flock on the Feast of the Bright Resurrection and anointed all with holy oil. After the greetings, the Primate handed out gifts to the children.

The Bright Week ends on Thomas Sunday, which is the renewal of Pascha or Antipascha (the Greek prefix, anti, means “in place of”). The whole service on Thomas Sunday call on believers to turn to the Sun of Truth – to Christ, to strengthen their faith and together with the holy apostle Thomas, joyfully say to the risen Savior: "My Lord and my God."
