On Labour Protection Day UOC churches to offer special prayers

On April 28, the Day of Labor Protection, with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy of Kiev and All Ukraine, all monasteries and parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church will prayer for the health and life safety of workers, reports the UOC Information and Education department.

During the Divine Services, all the workers who died in industrial accidents will be remembered.

A corresponding circular was sent to all diocesan bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on April 26.

On April 28, Ukraine has celebrated the World Day of Labour Protection since 2006, in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 685/2006 of August 18, 2006.
