Vatican concerned about anti-church bills, – UOC representative
"For the attention of people's deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The Vatican is concerned about the possibility of adopting bills 4128 and 4511. The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Holy See was summoned. The Vatican fully agrees with the position expressed by the Roman Catholic Bishop Stanislav Shirokoradiuk on this subject," he wrote.
As the UOJ reported, on May 18 around 10,000 faithful from around the country gathered at the walls of the Verkhnova Rada for prayerful standing so that God could reason with MPs not to adopt antichurch bills.
