On June 7, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine received in his residence in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra the hierarch of the Greek Orthodox Church Metropolitan Paul of Drama together with a group of clergy and monks, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

During the conversation with His Beatitude, the guests expressed to His Beatitude their respect and support as to the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and also said that they knew Metropolitan Onufry not only as a hierarch, but also as a highly spiritual elder who sets an example for many monks in Greece and, in particular, on the Holy Mount Athos.

At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged souvenirs.

Metropolitan Paul of Drama, along with the clergy and monastics of his diocese, is now in Kiev on a pilgrimage visit. The group has already visited the Orthodox shrines of the city.
