Institution of chaplaincy appears in the National Guard of Ukraine

Chaplains will be taught the basics of tactical medicine, they will also interact with psychologists while the Guards are performing combat missions in extreme conditions. The first meeting of chaplains began on July 3 in Zolochev, Lvov region, reports the website of the National Guard of Ukraine.

"To become a chaplain of the National Guard of Ukraine, the priests must know the Ukrainian language, have several years of service in the congregation and a recommendation from the spiritual officer," the report said.

From 3 to 8 July 2017, the National Guard of Ukraine will gather 42 military chaplains at the training center in Zolochev.
