Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine His Beatitude Onufry blessed all the faithful for a common prayer for peace in Ukraine on the Day of the Baptism of Rus, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

A circular sent to all diocesan bishops reads that it is blessed at 12:00 o'clock, on July 28, 2017, to read the prayer "Our Father" 12 times with the addition of such words: "Lord, have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and bless Ukraine and our people with peace."

At the same time in all temples and monasteries of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church the bell-ringing "Blagovest" will be performed.
