A mere two thousand people take part in the Cross Procession of Kiev Patriarchate

The Kiev Patriarchate managed to gather a very small number of parishioners for the procession on the occasion of the Baptism of Kievan Rus. As can be seen from the CCTV shooting in Vladimirskaya St., one point the whole column of pilgrims-laymen passed in less than three minutes.

At the same time, among the pilgrims there were many people in camouflage uniforms, who, for the most part, carried not icons and crosses, but blue-yellow and red-black flags. According to the Ukrinform, they were ATO soldiers and military chaplains.

Security and order in the center of the capital were provided by 3,500 police and military National Guard. According to law enforcers, there were about 2,000 people in the column of Filaret followers.

On the eve, July 27, nearly 100 000 people participated in the UOC Cross Procession dedicated to the Baptism of Rus.
