In the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, a special prayer for peace in Ukraine is offered

On July 31, the hierarchs prayed about Ukraine and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the Russian church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Sofia, which is an Orthodox Mission of the Russian Orthodox Church in Bulgaria. This is reported by the portal “Russian Athos.”

His Holiness Patriarch of Bulgaria, Neophyte and Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church Bishop Gerasim of Melnish prayed at the altar at the Divine Liturgy.

Before the start of the Divine Liturgy, His Holiness Patriarch Neophyte saw in the honest head of Great Martyr Panteleimon. Worship in the church lasted throughout the divine service. The Bulgarian Orthodox Church has more than once been supportive of the UOC – the only canonical structure in Ukraine.
