Poroshenko finds Independence Day more important than Christmas and Resurrection

The Independence Day from year to year is becoming an increasingly significant holiday, more important than New Year, Christmas and Resurrection. This was said by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, opening the building of the children's regional hospital in Kropivnitsky of the Kirovograd region, reports Ukrinform.

"The Independence Day of Ukraine, which is celebrated every year on August 24, now has a special significance for the Ukrainians. The Independence Day, from year to year, is becoming a greater holiday, even more important than New Year, Christmas and Resurrection. Because it marks our re-birth, the resurrection of our desires and the novelty of our state," said President Poroshenko.
