A temple is built in Kotiuzhyny instead of the one seized by UOC KP
Believers of the UOC, who have been deprived of the temple, are compelled to pray in temporary structures, which are not meant for temple services. And even in this case, they are not allowed to quietly perform divine services – the invaders block entry, break locks, commit robbery.
The Orthodox community of the village appealed to Charity Fund "Tabor" with a request to help build a new house church. They believe that the construction of the temple is the only way to end the confrontation between the two communities – UOC and UOC-KP.
Owing to this, the charitable society announced fund-raising for the construction of a temple in the village of Kotiuzhiny. An appropriate project was opened, which became the next in the implementation of the program "40 temples". The purpose of this program is to build temples in the localities where they were taken away from the communities of the canonical Church.
The first project to raise funds for construction, which was designed for several months, was accomplished in less than two weeks. There were philanthropists who decided to donate the necessary amount, which allows to continue construction works in Kotiuzhyny.
"We continue to urge all Orthodox Christians not to remain indifferent to the activities of our Fund and to participate in its projects. With the help of God, we can do a lot," the foundation members believe.
