Uniates cut locks from the church in Kolomyia and hold a service there

On October 18, representatives of the UGCC arbitrarily conducted their service in the Annunciation Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Kolomyia. As reported by the press service of the Ivano-Frankivsk eparchy, there was no power clash with the believers of the UOC but the invaders cut the locks from the church doors.

Prior to this, the coordinator of the military chaplains of the Kolomyia-Chernivtsi eparchy of the UGCC, priest Michael Dziuba, had reported on his Facebook page that "the coordinating council of the military chaplains of the UGCC in Kolomyia decided on further divine services near the Annunciation Church".

Nevertheless, the Uniate chaplains decided not to serve near the temple but to seize it. The parishioners of the UOC called the police.

The judgment of October 4, 2017 left the Annunciation Church in the use of the community of the UOC.

The UOJ is following the developments.
