Filaret blesses "Right Sector" for "protection" of the UOC KP-oriented
The Kiev Patriarchate has long been collaborating with radicals and blessing them "to fight threats to society"
Filaret revealed the details of his meeting with representatives of nationalists in the programme "The Paths of War: Agents of Divinity" on ZIK.
"And since those who want to move to us remain defenseless, then this" Right Sector "takes upon itself the responsibility to protect them. And they ask me: "Do you agree that we should protect?" And I gave them my consent that they can protect if these parishioners turn to them," Filaret said.
It also became known that on April 6, representatives of Rovno's "Right Sector" recorded a video message calling on the special services and the Verkhovna Rada to influence the UOC and "shut this down".
At the same time, the nationalists paid special attention to the temple of the UOC in Ptichya, seized by the Kiev Patriarchate. The "Right Sector" urged everyone to struggle with the UOC and called its duty "to fight against invaders in cassocks".
In May 2017, the Kiev Patriarchate and the "Right Sector" signed an agreement on cooperation.
As reported by the UOJ, the Verkhovna Rada registered a bill that could legitimize church raiding.
