In villages of Butin and Kinakhovtsy entire families come back from schism
The St. Peter and Paul temple of Kinakhovtsy village of Zbarazh region was placed at the disposal of the Kyiv Patriarchate
The parishioners who chose to pass to the schismatic faith are now praying again with the parish chief of the village of Butin and Kinakhovtsy, the UOJ correspondent reports.
The rector of the local united parish of the UOC testifies that the number of people who come to the new premises instead of the two churches having been seized by the Kyiv Patriarchate keeps rising with each festive worship.
"We rejoice that these are not only our hard-core believers who were able to withstand the split, but the entire families who once left us," the clergyman said.
According to the rector, two families who had previously visited the temples captured by the UOC-KP representatives began to come to his service again. "They are young, active people who thus show their conscious decision to return to the grace of God," Protopriest Vitaliy shared.
Recall that in the spring of 2017, the St. Peter and Paul temple in the village of Kinakhovtsy in Zbarazh region was placed at the disposal of the Kyiv Patriarchate. The community, which lost the status of a legal entity after re-registration of the charter, continued the services in private territory, and then in a temporary prayer room. Earlier, in the autumn of 2014, the neighboring St. Michael's Church of the UOC of Butin village was captured, whose parishioners also prayed in Kinakhovtsy before the capture of its temple – the last belonging to the canonical Church in the district.
To date, about a hundred people come to every service to Father Vitaliy.
