Clergy of Nezhin eparchy express support for UOC Primate

The clergy of the Nezhin eparchy express solidarity with His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine and the existing status of the UOC at meetings held in the deaneries on November 18-21, 2018, reports the press service of the Nezhin eparchy.

The clerics spoke in favour of preserving the canonical structure of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church since it completely gives it all the rights and opportunities to carry out a saving mission among the Ukrainian people. In addition, the clergy emphasizes that the ministry of the Primate of the UOC is an example for both the clergy and believers in the testimony of the truth of their faith in the face of the world.

The meeting participants expressed unreserved support for the decisions taken by the Bishops’ Council of the UOC on November 13, 2018.

As the UOJ reported, earlier the commitment to the Primate and the canonical Church was witnessed by the hierarchs and clerics of Mukachevo, Tulchin, Rovno, Kherson, Zhitomir, Chernigov, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk and other eparchies of the UOC.
