Clergy of the Nikolaev eparchy
On November 20, the Day of the Holy Martyr Nikolai Romanovsky, an eparchial meeting chaired by Metropolitan Pitirim of Nikolaev and Ochakov was held in the Nikolaev eparchy, reports the website of the UOC eparchy.
The meeting was preceded by a moleben at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. At the meeting, the clergy unanimously supported the decision of the Bishops’ Council of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of November 13, 2018, and the activities of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine. The attendees signed an appeal to the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
In the letter, the clergy express their conviction that His Beatitude leads his flock wisely, with great responsibility before God, the right path to salvation.
“We sincerely pray to the Lord to enhance your strength in carrying the cross of the Primate’s ministry for the confirmation of the true faith of the people of Ukraine,” the address says.
Earlier, the ATO participants of Nikolaev called on Metropolitan Pitirim to support the SLC.
As the UOJ reported, the clerics of the Poltava, Kharkov, Alexandria, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Krivoy Rog, Kamensk, Zaporozhye and other eparchies declared their support for the Primate of the UOC.
