Clergy of Nezhin eparchy express unanimous support for UOC Primate
An annual meeting of the clergy of the Nezhin eparchy
On January 2, 2019, the general meeting of clergymen chaired by Archbishop Clement of Nezhin and Priluki was held in the Nezhin eparchy, reports the press service of the eparchy.
Before the meeting, the priesthood honored the memory of the late Metropolitan Irenaeus (Semko, † 2017).
The ruling bishop gave a report on the work of the Nezhin eparchy over the past year.
During the assembly, the meeting participants had the opportunity to ask Archbishop Clement questions about the situation in church life.
As reported, the clergy of the eparchy, headed by the ruling bishop, unanimously expressed allegiance and faithfulness to the canonical UOC and support for HisBeatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine.
At the end of the meeting, Archbishop Clement addressed the audience with a sermon and congratulated everyone on the Christmas holidays.
As the UOJ reported, earlier the allegiance to the Primate and the canonical Church was testified by the hierarchs and clergy of Rovno, Kherson, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Krivoy Rog, Kamensk, Zaporozhye, Poltava, Sumy, Konotop, Romny, Kharkov, Alexandria, Mukachevo, Zhitomir, Kirovograd, Izium, Nikolaev, Berdiansk, Ovruch, Chernigov, Lugansk, Severodonetsk, Tulchin, Voznesensk, Rovenki, Uman, Dzhankoy eparchies of the UOC.
