On behalf of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine, Bronislav Bernatsky expressed respect for the newly elected head of state "for the sincere intention of building a civilized, corruption-free and ethical-moral Ukrainian society".

“At this difficult time for Ukraine, when there is a serious struggle between the forces of good and evil, we assure you that the bishops, clergy, and laity of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine spiritually support the cause of the unity of our state and its peaceful way out of a difficult situation,” concluded representative of the RCC in Ukraine.
