Met. Vladimir supports community of the UOC church seized in vlg. Goliadin

The ruling bishop of the Vladimir-Volynsky Eparchy of the UOC performed a festive Divine service in the village of Goliadin

The ruling bishop of the Vladimir-Volynsky Eparchy visited the village of Goliadin in the Shatsk district of the Volyn region, where for two months the UOC believers have been deprived of the opportunity to pray in their own church. This was reported by Fr. Alexander Cherevko, rector of the St. Nicholas Church in the village of Pulmo, Shatsk district, on his Facebook page.

On the patron saint's day of the Church of the Holy Martyr St. George the Victorious of the village of Goliadin, seized by OCU supporters in March 2019, the archpastor led the festive all-night vigil and prayerfully supported the faithful of the canonical Church.

We recall that on March 3, 2019, in the village of Goliadin, the adherents of the new church structure held an illegitimate meeting, at which they decided to transfer the local church to the OCU. The UOC religious community, along with the rector of the seized church, Archpriest Alexander Svinovey, adjusted an old rural house for worship.
