The festive Divine Liturgy is being held on the square in front of the Holy Dormition Cathedral to celebrate the day of St. Onuphrius the Great.
The Liturgy is performed by the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry and representatives of the Local Orthodox Churches.
His Beatitude is concelebrated by the hierarchs of the Local Orthodox Churches: Metropolitan Meletios of Carthage (the Church of Alexandria), Metropolitan Gabriel of Lovech (the Church of Bulgaria), Bishop Anthony of Moravia (the Church of Serbia), Bishop Paul of Hajnowka (the Church of Poland), metropolitans, archpriests, and bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church; Archimandrite Jerome (Piliotis) and Hieromonk Barnabas (Chrysanth) (the Church of Cyprus), Archpriest Ljubomir Kazashki (the Church of Bulgaria), Archpriest Andrei Levchak (the Church of Poland), Archpriest Nazariy Polataiko (the Orthodox Church in America), Hierodeacon Dimitrian (the Church of Cyprus), monastics and other guests in the holy orders.
Metropolitan Isaiah of Thamasos (Church of Cyprus), Archbishop Michael of Prague (the Czech Church), students of Kiev theological schools, numerous pilgrims and parishioners of the Kiev-Pechersk Monastery also pray at the Divine Service.
