On July 28, 2019, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine, presented Metropolitan Irenaeus with a high church award – the Order of St. Apostle Andrew the First-Called, reports the press service of the Dnepropetrovsk Eparchy.

The ruling bishop of the Dnepropetrovsk Eparchy was awarded the order for his services to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and on the occasion of the 80th anniversary, which the metropolitan celebrated on May 10.

The awarding ceremony took place at the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, on the day of remembrance of Equal-to-the-Apostles Great Prince Vladimir.

Also on this day, for the merits to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and on the occasion of the 40th anniversary, the vicar of the Dnepropetrovsk Eparchy, Bishop Andrei of Petropavlovka, was awarded the Order of St. Demetrius, Metropolitan of Rostov.

As reported earlier, the Primate of the UOC handed the Order of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir, I degree, to the Honored Journalist of Ukraine and the long-term employee of the UOC press service Vasily Anisimov.
