On August 10, 2019, a petition was registered on the website of the President of Ukraine on the cancellation of the transfer of St. Andrew's Church of Kiev for the permanent use of the Patriarchate of Constantinople on a free-of-charge basis.

As of August 11, 11 people out of the required 25,000 signed the petition. There are 92 days left until the end of the collection of signatures.

As the UOJ wrote, the Phanar received St. Andrew’s Church for use on November 28, 2018, by order of the Cabinet of Ministers. “We are restoring historical justice and returning the stauropegion to the Mother Church of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Kiev,” said the then speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Parubiy.
