Epiphany Dumenko is going to pay his first official visit as head of the newly formed religious structure to the United States, reports the telegram channel Religion Today.
According to the channel’s information, “an official foreign visit of Met. Epiphany is being prepared now".
It is reported that "from the host side, Epiphany’s arrival is supervised by the special representative of the State Department, Kurt Walker".
Also, the authors of the channel claim that “Epiphany wants to meet not only with Archbishop Elpidophoros (Lambriniadis), but also with Donald J. Trump himself. The latter, of course, is still in question but lobbyists are working on it actively.”
In addition, the creators of Religion Today channel believe that Epiphany’s arrival in the United States is “very indicative”, since “the new primate pays his visit not to the traditional places of church life (Athos, Constantinople, Jerusalem), but to the USA, which says it all and shows an absolutely political nature of the ‘OCU project’.”
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Epiphany Dumenko discussed the issue of recognition of the OCU at the US Embassy.
