The UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Anthony of Borispol and Brovary, in an interview with the “Newsone” TV channel, spoke about the prospects of the pan-Orthodox meeting of the Local Orthodox Churches in a situation where none of them recognized the newly formed OCU.
“We see that all Local Orthodox Churches believe that the pan-Orthodox Council of the heads of Local Orthodox Churches can be the only right way to resolve the situation,” said Bishop Anthony.
He noted that the form of the pan-Orthodox assembly can be different, but its main task remains unchanged.
“The task is precisely to get out of this difficult situation by the conciliar mind and not allow, God forbid, this Ukrainian problem to become over time a cause of schisms in the Orthodox world,” the hierarch emphasized.
