Pope: Ukraine seeks specific solutions to achieve sustainable peace

On December 25, 2019, Pope Francis announced that Ukraine is seeking specific solutions to achieve lasting peace. This statement was made by the pope during his traditional appeal to believers and all people of good will with the traditional “Urbi et Orbi” message, the full text of which was published by the online edition Vatican News.
“Be the light, Redeemer of the world, for dear Ukraine which is seeking specific solutions to achieve sustainable peace,” said Pope Francis.
Earlier, Pope Francis invited Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II of All Georgia to the Vatican.
