The head of the UOC-KP, “patriarch” Filaret Denisenko, believes he may outlive Epiphany Dumenko, whom he considers a hypocrite and a liar. The "patriarch" stated this in an interview with 4 Channel.

According to Filaret, Epiphany and his retinue want to appropriate after his death what they haven’t earned: “They think that the old patriarch will die ... But though I’m 92 years old, God gives me strength and it remains to be seen who will die earlier. Everything is possible with God, isn’t it?"

According to the head of the UOC-KP, since God gives him strength, "it means that the church needs me, because if I weren’t needed, the Lord would not give me health and strength to continue working."

Filaret refers to Epiphany as a hypocrite and consideres it appropriate to compare himself with St. Gregory the Theologian, who was betrayed by his disciple Maxim Cynic.

“He, St. Gregory the Theologian, was asked – how did you allow your student to oppose you? And he answered – I am not God and I did not know that he (Cynic – Ed.) is like that. So I didn’t know that he (Epiphany – Ed.) is like that,” Filaret said.

“What do you mean by ‘like that’?” the journalist asked.

“Hypocritical and deceitful,” Filaret concluded.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that, according to Filaret Denisenko, Epiphany did not need him but his property.
