The Abbot of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Paul of Vyshhorod and Chornobyl, was checked out of the Alexander Hospital in Kiev and returned to the monastery. This was reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

Together with the abbot, six monks and novices returned to the Lavra, who had undergone treatment for coronavirus infection in the capital's hospitals. The monastery’s press service reports that “the state of health of all the recovered monks is satisfactory, and in time they will return to fulfill their obedience.”

“Now they feel much better, there is no high temperature. The brethren will be located in a specially designated building, prepared for them in advance by the sanitary and epidemiological surveillance services in Kiev. The health of the monks will be constantly monitored by doctors. <...> Once again we ask all parishioners of the Lavra and all Orthodox Christians to double their prayers for those brothers who are still in the hospital, as well as for the entire monkhood of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, so that through the prayers of the saints of the Caves, the Lord will save us all from this deadly adversity. May God bless us all! ” emphasized the monastery’s website.

As reported by the UOJ, Archimandrite Philip, Archimandrite Ephraim, Archimandrite Parfeny, Archimandrite Zinon, Hieromonk Sisoy and novice Roman returned to Kiev-Pechersk Lavra after receiving the treatment.
