The Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate declared its full support for the Alexandrian Patriarchate and Patriarch Theodore "in its just struggle (the Patriarchate of Alexandria) for the canonical order." This was reported by Orthodox Times.

During the session on January 11, 2023, the synod decided to register the new Archbishop George of Cyprus in the diptychs of the Church, while Ecumenical Patriarch Jeremiah I and the monk Gerasimos Mikragiannanitis, the Hymnographer, were rewarded with the ranking of a Saint.

As reported by the UOJ, in November 2022, the Synod of the Alexandrian Patriarchate decided to suspend the commemoration of the name of the Primate of the ROC, Patriarch Kirill, during the Divine Liturgy. These decisions were prompted by the desire to "counteract the illegal intrusion of the ROC" into the jurisdiction of the Alexandrian Orthodox Church.
