On April 23, 2020, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky thanked the Ukrainians for their responsible attitude to the celebration of the Resurrection of Christ in quarantine.

“This year, around 100,000 believers attended services while last year there were 7,500,000. This difference proves that we are mature, responsible citizens who think about themselves, their relatives, and Ukrainian doctors. I believe that we are very good and can really be proud of ourselves,” the head of State said on the “112 Ukraine’ YouTube channel.

Earlier, he congratulated the Ukrainians on Easter and said what he asked God for.
