The “Chesno” movement has entered Metropolitan Luke (Kovalenko) of Zaporizhzhia and Melitopol into its "register of state traitors", reports the association's Facebook page.

Among other things, the bishop is accused of having "blatantly condemned" the granting of the Tomos to the OCU in 2019, and in 2018 he supported the refusal to serve a funeral service over a dead child "baptised" in the church by the Kyiv Patriarchate. "According to him, the baptism of people by UOC-KP priests is not a baptism at all," the authors of the register are outraged.

As reported, on 11 December 2022, Volodymyr Zelenskyy by his decree introduced a decision of the NSDC on personal special sanctions against Metropolitan Luke and six other representatives of the UOC.

In early January 2023, the “Chesno” movement entered boxer Vasyl Lomachenko into the "register of state traitors". In particular, he was accused of sharing a photo with Metropolitan Luke.
