On April 24, 20202, people's deputies from the “Opposition Bloc – For Life” faction appealed to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine with a request to initiate criminal proceedings against blogger Ayder Muzhdabaev for discrimination against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, reports one of the deputies of the faction Alexander Kachny on his Facebook page.

“Stop talking to people in hate language and sow discord! The President promised that he would stand for strengthening the unity of Ukrainian society,” the people's deputy wrote. “We hope that he will fulfill his promises and put an end to the activities of certain forces that discriminate against the UOC and allow a mass violation of the fundamental rights of believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.”

As reported earlier, on April 19, 2020, Russian and Ukrainian journalist Ayder Muzhdabaev called on Orthodox Ukrainians to “abandon” the “FSB Killer-Church”, which “casts bullets in Sviatogorsk Lavra”. The head of the Legal Department of the UOC, Archpriest Alexander Bakhov, said that "draft documents are being prepared so that every believer in the UOC can complain to the court and law enforcement agencies against Ayder İzzet-oğlı Muzhdabaev".

Later, the Shariy Party filed an application with the Prosecutor General’s Office for registering a criminal offense against journalist-blogger Ayder Muzhdabaev.
