On the 75th anniversary of the Victory over Nazism, memorial services were held with the offering of special petitions “for leaders and warriors, who died on the battlefield, who died from wounds and hunger, were captured and bitterly executed, innocently martyred and killed, and for all those who worked for the sake of the Victory”.

In Jerusalem, in the church of the Holy Martyr Queen Empress Alexandra of the Russian Ecclesiastic Mission, the Divine Liturgy and memorial service, led by the head of the Mission, Archimandrite Alexander (Elisov), were held.

At the end of the memorial service, the heroes of the Great Patriotic War were proclaimed "Eternal memory".

As reported, in Jericho, the services of the Russian Orthodox Church resumed after a long break.
