The Memorial Day for victims of political reprisals is annually celebrated in Ukraine on the third Sunday of May. Traditionally, on this day in the temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church prayers are offered for all those who were innocently wronged and who suffered a tragic death from godless authorities.
As reported by the UOJ, on May 8 and 9, 2020, the dioceses of the UOC prayerfully honored the memory of those who died during the Second World War.
