On May 15, 2020, in the metropolitan residence of "Patriarch" Filaret Denisenko the investigative actions with his participation were conducted, reports the lawyer of the UOC-KP Neonila Tkachenko on her Facebook page.
"The State Bureau of Investigation continues the pre-trial investigation in the case of inciting sectarian hatred by a group of people, including officials of public authorities," Tkachenko wrote. “Today, on 15 May 2020, investigative actions involving His Holiness Patriarch of Kyiv and All Rus-Ukraine Filaret are taking place in the premises of the Kyiv Patriarchate".
The lawyer of the UOC-KP specified that Filaret himself decided to "fully promote the investigation and prevent the violation of the rights of believers and the clergy”.
After the investigation, Tkachenko said that the head of the UOC-KP "continues to amaze with his firmness and diligence”.
"3 hours of investigative actions, without interruption. Amazing stamina. The true first hierarch of the Church!" she added.
As reported earlier, the UOC-KP began to sue the OCU for illegal re-registration of its eparchies, and on May 7, 2020, the "Bishops’ Council" demanded from the authorities that the state registration of the liquidated UOC-KP be returned.
